Indian culture will cover the salient aspects of Art Forms, literature and Architecture from ancient to modern times. Modern Indian history from about the middle of the eighteenth century until
GS-I covers Indian Heritage and Culture, History and Geography. Topics include: Indian art forms, literature, architecture (ancient to modern); Modern Indian history from 18th century; Freedom Struggle and contributors; Post-independence consolidation; World history from 18th century including industrial revolution, world wars, political philosophies; Indian society features, diversity, women's role, population issues, urbanization; Globalization effects; Social empowerment issues; World physical geography, natural resources distribution, industries location, geophysical phenomena.
