The personality test assesses candidate suitability for public service through natural conversation rather than cross-examination. Board evaluates mental caliber, intellectual qualities, social traits, current affairs interest, mental alertness, critical thinking, judgment balance, leadership ability, and moral integrity. Not a test of specialized knowledge but expects intelligent interest in academic subjects, current events, and modern discoveries that should interest well-educated individuals.
